I am an experienced registered yoga teacher. I've been teaching since 2009 regularly.
I first studied yoga in 2007 in India, and have been working in the wellness field for seventeen years. I have learned a lot about the human condition, and that every person is an individual with individual needs. I have also learned that yoga asana (the physical postures and practice) can be a healing modality... and yes...it can, and will... harm you if not done well.
I have learned that just because you can do something, it doesn't mean you should. And that not doing anything won't get you anywhere either. Even if doing something means lying on your back without distraction and taking the time to feel yourself and go inside (Yoga Nidra, Meditation, or Restorative Yoga). Sometimes doing something looks like doing nothing. Because sometimes what we need to do most- is to rest and turn our imagination and senses inward.
Of course we also need to move and use our bodies. The point is to use the diverse tools of yoga for what is the most nourishing at any given moment; whether it be for the mind, the body or the spirit. Yoga is a beautiful system that carries with it so much diversity.
I generally teach to move slowly. I want you to discover that in fact moving slowly, with integrity, awareness and proper alignment is not only safer but more enjoyable, and it retrains us to be more conscious in our lives.
My background and Training:
I trained in India with the Sivananda School in Kerala in 2007, and at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai in 2011. One of my greatest teacher influences is Rod Stryker with whom I have completed one part of the Para Yoga Training and other workshops, including the Four Desire Workshop. I am also influenced by the therapeutic work of Jill Miller and completed a Yoga Tune Up® training in 2013.
I combine my Traditional study of yoga with the science of how Yoga actually transforms our biochemistry to create positive change.

What you did a year ago or even yesterday, may not apply to you today. Because we are complex and always in flux we must honour the natural shifts that are occurring in us.
I want you to learn how to listen to your body. I want you to understand your bodies needs. I want you to breath deeply. I want you to take space from your worries. I want you to gain a new perspective. I want you to cry if you need to. And then laugh. I want you to feel good and most importantly...in the end...i want you to feel RELAXED. To be relaxed means you are at ease with yourself and your current circumstances.
We are our best selves, when we are at rest within ourselves.
I am available for private classes in the Paris area en Anglais et un peu Français. Private classes will refine your practice and cater what is needed to you as the individual that you are.
